While waiting for my new ID, just after embracing the simplicity and rhythm of the Zimbabwean system, I met a young woman who reminded me why my work goes far beyond visas and paperwork.
For twenty-seven years, I carried my Zimbabwean identity documents in my maiden name. Life moved on marriage, migration, children, business, ministry but that one small administrative task never quite made it to the top of the list.
Zimbabwe was exactly what my soul needed.I didn’t realise how drained I had become mentally, emotionally, and spiritually until my feet touched Zimbabwean soil again
I find myself reflecting more and more on simple things the quiet, everyday moments that shape who we are. Recently, one such reflection came alive again when I travelled home to Zimbabwe.
